"Overall, your program is the best I have seen thus far. Each offender I have sent through your program genuinely enjoyed it and stated to me that they really learned something from it and had good take away.
 
I think the hybrid approach (online via zoom, with ‘homework’) is the most effective at getting offenders/clients to actually participate. Something about in-person group programs really turns people off and leads them to go into the program ‘blank’ and unwilling to participate fully.
 
In my opinion, hosting online sessions allows offenders/clients to open up more willingly, while still being able to hold them accountable to complete the program homework and actually participate. I believe this is the reason why ODOC doesn’t allow 100% online, non-instructor led, programs is because we fear that people will ‘BS’ their way through it simply to obtain the certificate. The way your program does the hybrid course prevents that from happening. "
